I've just had a weeks holiday from work and today is a Bank Holiday which is nice.   As usual the weather is rubbish and i've come to accept that whatever small amount of summer we have had, it's virtually gone now.  I may be surprised and we have an Indian summer but i doubt it.

I didn't do much last week other than procrastinate.  I've had a cystitis/bladder infection most of the time.  It was so bad yesterday i went to the walk in centre at the local hospital to see if they would give me some antibiotics to clear it up.   The doctor said I didn't have an infection but acidic urine.  She told me to drink gallons of cranberry juice and water, which I have been doing and it's getting no better.  I've had several infections over the last few years, and I'm sure this is the same as before.  I think I will go to my own doctor tomorrow and see if there is anything she can give me.  I'm awash with cranberry juice and water and it's doing no good.  I need to get it sorted out before my operation to remove my gallbladder some time next month.  God i sound like a wreck!

I'm back at work tomorrow and dreading it.  Not only will i have to catch up with all my work, but we are starting a completely new computer programme and none of us have been trained yet!  It's terrible organisation but typical of the health service.  I don't intend to stress and if it all goes pear shaped then the bosses can take the blame.

My computer at home isn't working right at the moment.  I can't understand what's wrong.  I had some trojans a few weeks ago and was told to install spyware doctor, which seems to have worked.  Now however my printer/scanner won't connect with the computer.  Every time i try to scan it won't go further and gives me a virus warning.  I think I'm going to have to get an expert, as there is always an error message when i sign in too.  I'm wondering if the spyware thingy has somehow blocked out the scanner.

I finished watching the whole of True Blood season 1 over the weekend and loved every moment of it.  I know there is no way i will last til season 2 dvd is released, so I'm going to have to investigate downloading.  Thanks Deb for your advice.  ;-)

I thought I'd post some pictures of the town I live in.  I took them in June when we had our one week of summer!  I still can't believe the colour of the sky compared to the weather lately.
The first two pics are of my cats...I just can't leave them out, lol.

centre!   At the moment there is a large supermarket with lot of
small units empty for shops and restaurants.  I hope they can
manage to fill them.

God I'm so tired.  This weather is unbelievably humid.  I'm a real sunworshipper but even I can't cope with this.  I took a couple of days off work because I felt weary.  I stupidly sat in the sun today and had some beers!  Now I have a lovely headache and I'm perspiring nicely.  I never thought I'd say this but I want cooler weather back!  It is brilliant though to be able to walk out late at night with no coat and still feel really warm.

I went to the doctors last week to get the result of an abdominal scan because of a sort of ache I've had in my side for about 6 months.  Turns out I have gallstones and I need my gallbladder out.  I guess in my mind I sort of knew it might be something like that and it could have been a lot worse, but it came as a shock she said I had to have it taken out.  I said to her that I would leave it as it wasn't paining me too much, but after talking to some people (including my personal internet Spanish doctor, who btw also diagnosed it beforehand ;-), I changed my mind and agreed to see a consultant.   It was just a quick reaction and I really wasn't thinking straight.  I have an appointment at the hospital on the 20th and hopefully it won't be too long after that as I can feel the discomfort a bit more now.  It's my own fault really as she said that fatty foods can cause this, so I'm trying my best to cut down which is very difficult!   Looks like any holiday plans this year are out the door!
It's just an addition to the numerous things I have had taken out of my body!  I seem to be good at collecting scars!  to top it off the last few days I've had a horrible frozen shoulder and I can't lift my arm or sleep with it.  It's so painful i wish it would go.   It's my age! ;-p

The other night the doorbell went about 8.15pm and I couldn't work out who it was.  I shouldn't have gone but they rang again, so I answered.  There was these two very smart young men with suits and clipboards.  I thought they were maybe mormons or selling something.  One started to say something and then started laughing.  As if he couldn't speak because of it.  I couldn't work out what was going on and said 'what is it?'.  Well the other one said 'whoops' and I looked as his pants fell to the floor!  God they were such idiots.  I didn't look amused and said very funny, but I guess it was sort of funny.  First time I've been flashed at my front door, lol. ;-)

Swine flu is gettin pretty rampant in this town.  Two schools were closed because of dozens of pupils and teachers contracting it.  Some nurses at the hospital and also a school nurse where I work have it too.  It's inevitable that it's not going to be stopped but I hope I can still dodge it successfully.

I can see an argument coming on with my neighbour.  He put some plastic spikes on top of my fence, obviously against the squirrels or my cats.  Well i prized them off and threw them back in his garden.  I'm just waiting for his next move.  It's pathetic as there are no squirrels now!  someone has got rid of them all and I'm so mad.  Why should my cats not be able to walk on the fence without hurting their feet?  Anyway I'm ready if he starts.

Deb!!  I see you are back from your travels!  I can't wait to hear how you got on and see some pics.  I missed you sweetie. ♥

Why am I easily the most indecisive person in the world!!!

I'm fed up as I can't decide whether to buy a treadmill that is on offer til midnight!  It's half price and a really good one.  My reason to buy is to try and get a bit fitter, as I know I will never go to a gym.  Plus my constant eating, especially of chocolate that needs to be counter balanced by some exercise!  My reasons against are that it is expensive even at half price, and the main one is that it weighs 69 kilos.  I'm worried about trying to move it as I know I wouldn't be able to.  This is when I need a man!!! lol.  I doubt I will get it, but it's still on my mind.

I went shopping this afternoon to get some clothes and things for the house.  I came back with nothing!  Again I stood for ages looking and trying to decide.  I thought I had made up my mind on a rug but I then saw two others I liked.  I'm not meant to be (shop) alone, I just get myself stressed at my inabilty to make my mind up.

I had said that a changed me was coming this year, but I have to admit the indecisive thing is a bugger to conquer!

My Dyson hoover doesn't work!  I phoned the help desk and was embarrassed when the man said have you been regularly washing the filter!  This is another of my faults, lol.  I don't read instructions much and hadn't washed it once in two years!  Anyway I'm hoping this is all that is wrong as I can't afford another one!

My cat killed a beautiful little dove pigeon that was one of a pair that used to sit on my fence and preen themselves!  I'm mad as they were so sweet together.  The one left just sits there looking sad.  I'm stupid about animals, lol.

I wonder if Deb will reply, as she said my entries make her giddy!  and I hope Laura is happy too, lol.  ;-p  Even if I am writing drivel!

Well I've pondered over this question for so long that the title was obvious....'She Couldn't Decide Anything'.  I think Laura will agree on that!  ;-p

2)  Three things you would bring to a desert island

It all depends if there was any electricity as in Lost.  If there was I would have my computer and download TV series/films/games to keep me amused.
I'm guessing no electricity, so I think maybe some razors (as even on a desert island you never know who you would meet).

For company I need some animals.....so I'll cheat and count them as one thing.   My cats, some chickens and goats.  That's me supplied with cuddles, eggs and milk!  And you all thought I was going to say Foxy!!  It was toooo obvious!  (I need more than 3 things, lol)

3)  How do you imagine yourself in 30 years? (and you can't say older, LOL, because that is obvious).

Older! ;-p  Well I hope not to be too decrepit by then, but I'm not sure!  I'd like to be fit enough to have a dog and go walking to keep well.  I'll be retired!  I'd love to live by the sea and have lots of beach walks.  My mum always said I would end up in a rocking chair surrounded by cats!  She was pretty shrewd.  ;-)

4)  If you could have a superpower, which one would it be?

I think I'd go with flying on this.  You could watch so many things going on below and get around really fast.  The feeling must be amazing.

5)  Which of the unsolved mysteries of life would you like to know the answer of?

I was going to say the Loch Ness Monster, but then I thought about Jack the Ripper.  I'd love to know for sure who he actually was.  There have been so many different theories about what happened and I've always been very curious.

I went for my first ever spa day yesterday with my cousin.   It was set in beautiful countryside in Northampton at a place called Rushton Hall.  It's like a big old stately home and is being used as a hotel.   The stables to the side were converted into a Spa. 
I was so relieved with the weather as it was gorgeous....loads of sunshine but cold.  The night before we had torrential rain and high winds.  It was almost as if the switch had been pressed.

Firstly we had a coffee and admired the views from where we sat.  Then went to a really nice locker area that led to the gym, swimming pool, steam room etc.  I realise now how unfit I am when I walked in to the gym and nearly turned round after seeing all these people jogging on the treadmills and making me look decidedly portly, lol.
I had a go on the treadmill, bike, cross trainer and when my legs felt ready to give way I tried some weights *ugh*.  I now have aches where I didn't know I had muscles!

We then went to the swimming pool which was nice and warm and then had a jacuzzi.    Then we had lunch.  After that I had a back/neck/shoulder massage, a facial and a pedicure.  It was my first massage and I enjoyed it but I think she put a bit too much pressure at times, as I felt pressed into the bed.  I drifted off and imagined a certain man was doing this, lol.

We then had a coffee in the lounge and had a wander round and took some pictures.  If i can get this cut thing to work then I'll put them under it!

I'm sitting here with icicles hanging from my nose!  The damned central heating boiler broke this morning and I've been freezing ever since.  I shouldn't complain as I do have a gas fire in the front room but everywhere else is like a fridge!  No hot water!!  I'm having to have a little tipple to help my circulation.  ;-)  Might even have to find a water bottle, lol.

I rang my plumbing insurance company, thinking it was covered in the policy and of course it wasn't!  So now I have to wait til tomorrow and ring a local company who will charge an arm and a leg!  I just hope it's fixable.

On a better note I had an engineer out to look at my digital satellite box, as it's been playing up.  He was lovely and straight away said I could have a new box.  No Laura, I didn't flirt with him but I'm sure you would have, lol.  We did have a chat about my heating problem though.  ;-)

My camera broke over Christmas, so hopefully they say things come in threes and that will be enough!  o_0
